The mechanical radial drilling machine (Model ZQ/Z30 Series) utilizes mechanical gear transmission for speed changes and a lead screw mechanism for manual locking—distinguishing it from hydraulic-locking radial drills. The radial arm can rotate 360° around the column and move vertically, while the spindle head traverses horizontally along the arm; this design allows for precise positioning by simply moving the drill bit, eliminating the need to reposition large workpieces. Consequently, it serves as a versatile, general-purpose machine tool for hole-making operations in workshops.
Machining Capabilities
Drilling, counterboring, reaming, tapping, spot facing, and shallow boring; suitable for metals such as steel, cast iron, aluminum, and copper.
Mainstream Standard Models
• Z3040×13: Max. drilling capacity—Steel: Φ32mm, Cast Iron: Φ40mm; Arm length: 1.3m (Most commonly used compact model);
• Z3050×16: Steel: Φ40mm, Cast Iron: Φ50mm; Arm length: 1.6m (Standard market model).
